Boldhart is the prefix of Annette and Wayne Pulford. Although most people in the dog world would know me by my maiden name of Annette Baxter.
The Boldhart clan have recently moved to Kyneton in Cental Victoria for a life style change and hopefully for Wayne & I a little more time to relax.
Alas for the "Kids" !! THERE IS NO DAM AND NO POOL to go swimming.. However we are fortunate to live on acreage so the dogs have the benefit of being able to run free in their own parkland and chase the rabbits and the peacocks who come from next door. Future plans include putting in a pool for them to swim and cool off in over the hot summer months.
Wayne is not a face you will see too often at a dog show but at home he is the favourite of all the girls. They are all daddy's girls and are happy to sit and jostle for best position on his lap at night to watch TV. He has 5 on his lap at any one time! Our dogs are all treated as members of the family and are not kennelled and crated but inside dogs who sit on the couch, sleep on the bed and go for drives in the car whenever possible. A Stafford is a dog that needs Human companionship – they don’t consider themselves dogs !! If you leave them alone for long periods and without that companionship and contact they can suffer anxiety and can become destructive.
I am a life member of the Staffordshire Bull Terrier Club of Victoria and served on the executive committee of the Club from 1984 until 2000 as either Treasurer, President or Secretary. During that time I have met many Stafford people both in Australia and overseas who share my great love of this wonderful breed. The dogs have been an invaluable way of meeting many tremendous people who share a common interest and will remain friends for life. I am currently Show Secretary for KCC Park Show Committee - An amenities show to raise funds for our dog facilities in Victoria.
Without the support of Wayne behind the scenes I would not have been able to achieve the success as an exhibitor and breeder of Staffordshire bull terriers and the encouragement that he gives me in my judging ambitions.

THE FUTURE:
Although we don’t breed often (generally to keep something for ourselves) our breeding program for the future is to breed healthy staffords of quality & type with excellent temperaments.
In today's society with breed specific legislation threatening we must strive for true Stafford Temperament. At Boldhart we are proud that we have achieved excellent temperaments as well as good looks.
