ABOUT US

Boldhart is the prefix of Annette and Wayne Pulford. Although most people in the dog world would know me by my maiden name of Annette Baxter.

The Boldhart clan reside in the leafy Melbourne suburb of Langwarrin. We are fortunate to live on acreage so the dogs have the benefit of being able to run free in their own parkland. They all love swimming and we have a massive dam in the back paddock where they love to chase the ducks. In the summer months the "kids" laze around the inground pool (on the pool chairs of course) and go for a cool dip when they get too hot.

Wayne is not a face you will see too often at a dog show but at home he is the favourite of all the girls. They are all daddy's girls and are happy to sit and jostle for best position on his lap at night to watch TV. He has 5 on his lap at any one time!

I am a life member of the Staffordshire Bull Terrier Club of Victoria and served on the executive committee of the Club from 1984 until 2000 as either Treasurer, President or Secretary. During that time I have met many Stafford people both in Australia and overseas who share my great love of this wonderful breed. The dogs have been an invaluable way of meeting many tremendous people who share a common interest and will remain friends for life. I am currently Secretary of the Sporting Terrier Club of Victoria Inc and Show Secretary for KCC Park Show Committee - An amenities show to raise funds for our dog facilities in Victoria.

Without the support of Wayne behind the scenes I would not have been able to achieve the success as an exhibitor and breeder of Staffordshire bull terriers and the encouragement that he gives me in my judging aspirations is invaluable.

JUDGING:

I have been part of the Victorian Judges training scheme over the past 3 years and have attained my championship licence for all terriers and am now able to award challenge certificates not only for my beloved Staffords but other terrier breeds..

It is my aim to become a respected terrier specialist judge.
During the past 12 months I have had the privilege of judging many of the terrier breeds at Open Show level and have enjoyed these appointments enormously. It has been an eye opener to study and delve into the history of the other terrier breeds - each in their own right has a past as interesting as the Stafford.

I have now passed the relevant exam and am listed to judge the Gundog Group at Open Show level.

• Grand Champion Boldhart Mo Macackie - The only Staffordshire Bull Terrier to win the coveted Top Terrier Competition in Victoria and be crowned number 1 Terrier in the State. (As per the STCV Competition) His other claim to fame - The sire of 2 Grand Champions - Gr Ch Boldhart Red By Request & Gr Ch Boldhart Olly Took.
  
  
• Grand Champion Boldhart Red By Request - The youngest Staffordshire bitch to attain the title of Grand Champion in Australia at the tender age of 2/12 years. Runner up Number 1 terrier in Victoria in 2002 & 2003 ( As per STCV Competition). Multi Best Exhibit in Show and Runner Up in Show Specialty & All Breeds Championship Show winner with over 30 Best Exhibit in Group Awards. Number 1 Staffordshire Bull Terrier bitch in Victoria for 3 consecutive years and number 1 Junior Stafford (Per SBTCV Pointscore Competition)

THE FUTURE:

To perhaps move to the country and spend more time with our Staffords. But most importantly, to continue to breed Staffords of true type and temperament that we can be proud of in the future.

In today's society we must strive for true Stafford Temperament. At Boldhart we are proud that we have achieved excellent temperaments as well as good looks.
